Sometimes Administrators need to assign a course again to only certain employees rather than all learners. This is useful, for example, if someone scores below expectations on the final test and needs another attempt.

The manual re-enrollment feature lets you reassign a course even when automatic re-enrollment is already enabled.

When you manually re-enroll a learner, all of their current course progress is deleted. Learners must restart the course from the beginning, even if they have already completed some modules.

How to Manually Re-enroll Learners

  1. Open the course and go to the Enrollments tab.

  2. Select one or more learners who need to retake the course and click Re-enroll.

  3. In the Course Re-enrollment dialog, set the Start DateDue Date and access settings.

Select For a period in the Due date field, and specify in how many days, weeks, months, or years the courses will be reassigned

    Note: 1 month = 30 days; 1 year = 365 days.

In the Due Date column, you can see when the course must be completed.

Good to know

  1. Automatic Re-enrollment
    • If you re-enroll a learner manually, the scheduled automatic re-enrollment will be canceled (if automatic re-enrollment had already been enabled for the course).

    • However, if a user successfully passes the manually assigned course, the course will be re-enrolled automatically the next time after the indicated time period has passed (if automatic re-enrollment is enabled for the course).

  2. Progress and statistics
The reassigned course and all of its modules will have a status of Not Started. All progress that the user had made previously (the number of passed sections and modules) will be lost.

  3. Trainings
If a course includes a training, learners will be re-enrolled in it along with the course. In the Course Re-enrollment dialog, all sessions for that training are listed, and you can select the one you need.
