Request: POST /enrollment/{enrollmentId}/reenroll

Use this method to reenroll a learner in a course and set the start date and due date. You can set a specific due date, specify a time period, allow unlimited time to complete the course, or use the course's default settings.

Permissions to Run the Request

Account Owner, Account Administrator, Department Administrator, Author, or a user with a custom role.

Department Administrators and users with custom roles can reenroll learners in courses only within the departments they manage and their subdepartments.

Parameter	Description
enrollmentId (required)	ID of the course enrollment to be renewed.

Existing customers may continue using ispringlearn.com, and new customers should use ispring.com.

To get an enrollment ID, use the Getting a List of Enrollments or Getting a List of Enrollments (Page-by-Page) method.
The enrollment ID changes after reenrollment. Make sure you're using the current enrollmentId before sending another request.

Request Body Parameters

Parameter	Description
accessDate (required)	Course start date in `YYYY-MM-DD` format.
dueDateType (required)	How the course due date is set. Possible values: due_date — a specific date; due_period — a time period; unlimited — no due date; default — the due date specified in the course settings.
dueDate	Course due date in `YYYY-MM-DD` format. Used when dueDateType is set to due_date.
duePeriod	Time allowed to complete the course, in hours. Used when dueDateType is set to due_period.
lockAfterDueDate	Whether access to the course is locked after the due date. Possible values: `true` — access is locked; `false` — access remains available.

Response Codes

Code	Status	Description
200	OK	The request was processed successfully.
400	Bad Request	Invalid request.
401	Unauthorized	Authentication failed.
404	Not Found	Enrollment not found.

Sample Request

Reenroll a learner in a course starting on October 12, 2026. Set the due date to October 30, 2026, and lock access to the course after the due date.
