Searching with Tags

You can now group content by topic using tags. This way, employees can find information and perform work tasks faster.

How to Add a Tag

Only users with “Can Edit” access to the space can manage tags, including the following actions:

• Create and add tags to content
• Edit tags
• Remove tags from content
• Delete tags
• See tagged content based on visibility settings

Let's see how to create a new tag.

1. Select a content item and click on •••. Then, select Add Tags.
   
   
   
   Or you can open the content item and click on Add Tags on the Settings panel.
   
   
   
   
2. Click on Create Tag.
   
   
   
   You can start typing the title, and the platform will suggest that you create a tag.
   
   
   
   
3. Edit the tag's name and select a background color.
   
   
   
   
4. Then, click on Create.
   
   You’ve created a tag. It is now available in the Knowledge Base and visible to others.
   
   
5. Finally, click on Add to apply the tag to this content item.
   
   
   
   Done!
   
   You can add as many tags as you wish to the content, including tags from other spaces.
   

1. Select one or more tags. 
   
   
   
   
2. Next, click on Add.
   
   
   
   Great! You've tagged the content item.
   
   You can tag as many content items as you wish in the same manner.
   
   
   

Actions with Tags

You can edit, remove, and delete tags from the Knowledge Base in the Add Tags window and on the sidebar.

How to edit a tag

1. Click on a tag and select Edit.
   
   
   
   
2. Make changes and click on Save.
   
   
   

How to remove a tag

If the tag is irrelevant, you can remove it.

1. Click on a tag and select Remove from item.
   
   
   
   
2. Click on Add to confirm.
   
   
   
   Done! You've removed the tag from the content item. 
   

How to delete a tag

Click on a tag and select Delete. Then, confirm your choice.

 

The tag will be deleted from all content items.

How to Search by Tags

Employees can perform a tag-based search and see only the relevant content they have access to.

1. Open the Knowledge Base and click on Search. Or you can type your query into the search bar.
   
   
   
   
2. Select a tag on the left that matches the topic best.
   
   
   
   You can click on More to view other available tags.
   
   
   
   If you select several tags, the platform will show the results for each one.
   
   
   
   
3. You can type in your query in the search bar and then select a tag. The platform will show the result with the most accurate match.
   
   
   
   Well done! You found a needed content item.
   
   If you want to find content with the same tag rapidly, click on the tag in the space or folder.
   
   
   
   To reset the search, click on Clear.
