Once the supervisor has set up the Record the observer’s location at the start and end of the session section, the observer can share the location in the browser and the iSpring LMS mobile app.

For precise location tracking, ensure your device has GPS. We recommend conducting OJT sessions from mobile devices.

How to Share Your Location in a Browser

  1. In the User Portal, go to the On-the-Job Training section and select a session. Then, click on Start Session.



  2. iSpring LMS will notify you that it’s recording your location at the start and end of the session. Click on Yes, let’s start to proceed.



  3. To start a session, enable access to your location in your browser settings.



  4. Great! Now, ensure that you are at the location where the session is scheduled and click on Yes, let’s start.

    Done! You've verified your location.

    If you're unable to share your location in your browser, please check to see if your browser settings are preventing access to your location. For detailed instructions, refer to the guide on Manage your location settings in Chrome.


How to Share Your Location in the iSpring LMS Mobile App

  1. Go to the On-the-Job Training section, select a session, and click on Start Session.

  2. The app will notify you that it’s recording your location at the beginning and end of the session. Now, click on Yes, let’s start to proceed.

  3. Next, allow the iSpring LMS app to use your location.

    Great! You've shared your location.

    If you’re unable to grant access to your location, iSpring LMS will prompt you to set up access on your device. Click on Set Up.

    Both iOS and Android devices allow apps to monitor your location using the Precise Location / Improve Location Accuracy feature. Ensure that this feature is enabled.

    In the detailed session report, the supervisor will see where the observer began and ended the session.
