You can always see when your colleagues are editing a quiz. If your collaborators are online and making changes to the quiz, their avatar will appear next to the block being edited. When you hover over their avatar, you can see their name.
When an author is editing a block, it turns gray and the other collaborators cannot edit it. You can make changes to the quiz once your colleague has finished editing and has moved the cursor from the area. If someone is adding, editing, or deleting images or videos, the area will not be blocked.
How to Add Collaborators
To invite your colleagues to edit a quiz:
Select the course with the quiz and click Collaborate.
Or right-click on the course and select Collaborate.
Then, click Add collaborators.
Select the collaborators who will get access to the course.
The collaborator will see the course in the Shared with me section.
